Good Scenes Good Movies. (in no particular order)

As a young kid my dad and I always talked about making a compilation of our favorite comedic movie scenes. We never did. Im not quite sure why we never got around to it, but I think it has something to do with the fact that he made me do more yardwork from the ages of 12-18 than most people do in their entire lives. Needless to say my parents have the best yard in the neighborhood and yes I take full credit for that, even though I have not lived there in almost a decade. My landscaping skills broke grounds....I could have written books about proper edging and mowing that would have made me millions. But again, I did not. At least this list is finally happening. Here ya go dad....and your welcome for that amazing lawn.

KC

1.) The Sandlot - (Squince Paladoris puts the moves on Wendy Peffercorn.)
The look on his face when he awakens from his fake coma wholly sums up the feeling you get when you kiss a girl that is way too hot for you. This happens to be a feeling I have only heard about.

2.) Buffalo '66 - (Billy and Layla "Span Time" In the photobooth.)
Billy has kidnapped layla after being released from prison. His reason? So he can make his parents believe he has been away on business and is now happily married. The pictures being taken are to show the sense of love and happiness abounding in their fake relationship....This whole thing is actually quite true to life for me. I get kidnapped about once a week by some chick trying to impress her parents. What can I say? No one said it was easy being this sexy.

3.) GhostWorld - (Doug the liquor store patron.)
Doug is a man who pays ample attention to the important things in life: Booze, loud music and beef jerky. What more could could you need? Hes a mans man who works hard, plays hard and has amazing nunchuck skill....subsequently making him my idol. RIP Brad Renfro.

4.) American Movie -(Mark Borchardt and Mike Schank.)
Real life is funny, and this documentary proves that. Mark Borchardt is a filmmaker with a dream. That dream is "COVEN" the scariest movie the world has never seen. Nothing can stop him from seeing his masterpiece to fruition, and that includes (in the case of this scene) piles of fecal matter. Marks sidekick Mike has problems of his own. Apart from his obvious "slowness" he has a fondness for classical guitar and abstract drugs. To be honest I cant blame either of these guys for being a little odd. Ive been to the midwest numerous times and that place can easily make you lose your marbles. There really is nothing redeeming about it. Kind of reminds me of another place I know.

5.) The Party - (What Is that Idiot Doing?)
I think the humor of older movies is somewhat lost on my generation, but Peter Sellers certainly makes a case for why we should learn to appreciate our comedic forefathers. How can repeatedly shooting a Bugle player in any way, shape or form be unfunny? Simply not possible.

(Eds Note - we will be adding to this post for the next week so check back)
